11 DAYS PRIMATES AND WILDLIFE SAFARI

DAY 1: Kampala City Tour 
Take a ride around Kampala, the city of Seven Hills. This Uganda tour includes prominent places such as: Kasubi tombs, Makerere university, Uganda museum, Namirembe and Rubaga cathedrals, Kibuli mosque, Namugongo matyres shrines, Bahai temple, and Mulago hospital. Dinner and overnight at Hotel Africana or similar.

DAY 2: Lake Mburo Tour
Early morning drive via Masaka. Stop at the equator point for a photographic opportunity. Proceed to Lake Mburo National Park the only park, which encloses a lake. After lunch go for a game drive in the rolling hills and open grasslands. The lovely landscape is a home to Impala, Waterbuck, Eland, Zebra, Buffalo, Klipspringers, Crested Crane, and the ellusive Shoebill Stork. Dinner and overnight at Luxury Mantana Tented camp/Basic Rwonyo Rest Camp.

DAY 3: Lake Bunyonyi Islands Tour
After breakfast, we drive to southern part of Uganda (Kigezi region) popularly known as" The Switzerland of Uganda" via Mbarara. Lunch at Lake View Mbarara. Proceed to Lake Bunyonyi which is the deepest in Uganda enclosing a total of 38 islands. Take boat ride and enjoy the beautiful scenery and see a variety of bird species. You can visit the Batwa. Dinner and overnight at Lake Bunyonyi Overland Camp in tastefully positioned lakeshore cottages.

DAY 4: Bwindi Impenetrable Forest 
After breakfast proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park through beautiful scenery where the dominant terrain is of terraced farmland and deep valleys. Lunch, dinner and overnight at Buhoma Homestead or Mantana Tented Camp or Lake Kitandara tented camp (Luxury) or the like.

DAY 5: Gorilla Trekking 
At the Buhoma Headquaters of the Uganda Wildlife Authority a national parks Guide will present a briefing about Gorilla trekking etiquate. You should carry a packed lunch and water for this activity. Gorilla trekking can take 4 to 10 hours depending on how easily the Gorilla family is located. This is the core attraction of the Uganda Tour. Dinner and overnight at the camp.

DAY 6: Queen Elizabeth Tour 
After breakfast, drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park. An afternoon game drive around the crater region of the park should provide sightings of elephants, herds of buffalo, and a variety of birds. Visitors can also visit Lake Katwe where salt is mined and the Kasenyi landing site on the shores of Lake George. Dinner and Overnight.

DAY 7: Game Viewing
After breakfast at your, prepare for an early start to take advantage of the cool morning where we game drive along designated tracks to see the herds of Buffalo, Elephant, Warthog and Lion. Return to the lodge for breakfast by 10:30 am. After lunch, a two-hour launch excursion along the Kazinga channel offers visitors a unique opportunity to experience at close quarter hippo and a variety of bird species common to the park. The prolific bird life is colorful and stupendous with well over 550 resident species. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge /Jacana lodge/Hippo Camp (Luxury) Institute of ecology.

DAY 8: Queen Elizabeth to  Kibale Forest 
Depart from Queen Elizabeth National Park to Kibale Forest National Park via Fort Portal. Reach Kibale forest during lunch hours. After lunch, prepare for a 3 to 4 hours Primate Walk in the forest. This park is very rich in the biodiversity of species of insect, birds, plants, and animals. Dinner and overnight at Fort Portal town.

DAY 9: Murchison Falls NP
An early breakfast and start for the drive to Murchison Falls National Park. Lunch enroute. On arrival in murchision falls national park, we cross the Nile River and enjoy an afternoon of relaxation and swimming after the long journey which makes the dinner more enjoyable. Dinner and overnight.

DAY 10: Game Viewing Tour 
Early in the morning, we take a game drive to the Victoria Nile Delta looking for a variety of flora and fauna. Return to the lodge for lunch. Afternoon three hour launch trip on the Nile to the Mighty Murchison Falls. Hippos, elephant, crocodile, waterbuck antelope, warthog, and different species of birds are readily observed from this excursion. Dinner and overnight at Paraa or Pakuba safari Lodge.

DAY 11: Drive to the Top of the Falls. 
After breakfast, drive to the top of Murchison Falls and explore the area before driving back to Kampala via Masindi with lunch en route. In the morning of this day you can take an option of going for chimpanzee tracking at Pabidi in Budongo forest before driving to Kampala with lunch en route. You will either be dropped at your hotel or taken directly to the airport for your flight back home.
